The 2008 Olympics will be held in Beijing during the summer month of August. The Beijing Olympic Games are officially known as 'Games of the XXIX Olympiad'. The mascots for the Olympics in Beijing are known as the Fuwa who represent the colours of the Olympic circles. There will be 302 events held at the Beijing olympics including some events held at other venues outside of Beijing, for example football will be hosted in Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Shenyang and Tianjin. Equestrian will be hosted by Hong Kong and the sailing will take place in Qingdao 165 of the events are mens events, 127 are womens events, and 10 are mixed events.
